The Cats Protection League is the UK's oldest cat welfare charity, established 75 years ago, its main aim being to promote the interests of cats. Our name was shortened to Cats Protection in 1999, but our purpose remains the same - working towards three main aims:

TO RESCUE STRAY & UNWANTED CATS & KITTENS, REHABILITATE & RE-HOME THEM WHERE POSSIBLE

TO ENCOURAGE THE NEUTERING OF ALL CATS NOT REQUIRED FOR BREEDING

TO INFORM THE PUBLIC IN THE CARE OF CATS & KITTENS
Today Cats Protection has 29 shelters and over 260 branches nationwide. Peebles and Biggar branch was established in 1993, and last year rehomed over 240 cats and kittens. Our area covers the following postcodes: EH26, EH43, EH44, EH45, EH46, ML12, DG10 and TD1, Edinburgh and East Lothian. For information on your local branch, if you are not in our area, please
